Cushite
The term "Cushite" refers to the people and culture associated with the ancient kingdom of Cush, located in what is now Sudan and parts of southern Egypt. This civilization thrived from around 3000 BCE to 350 CE and is known for its rich history, including impressive pyramids and advanced trade networks. The Cushites were often in contact with neighboring cultures, including the Egyptians.
Cushites spoke languages from the Nilo-Saharan family and practiced various religions, including worship of their own deities. The kingdom of Cush is notable for its powerful rulers, such as Piye, who conquered Egypt and established the 25th dynasty, known as the Kushite Dynasty.
