Cullinan diamond
The Cullinan diamond is one of the largest and most famous diamonds ever discovered, weighing an impressive 3,106 carats. It was found in 1905 at the Premier Mine in South Africa and was named after Sir Thomas Cullinan, the mine's owner. The diamond was later presented to King Edward VII of the United Kingdom.
After its discovery, the Cullinan diamond was cut into several smaller gems, the largest of which is known as the Cullinan I or the "Star of Africa." This stunning 530.2-carat diamond is part of the British Crown Jewels and is displayed in the Tower of London.
