Cullinan I
Cullinan I, also known as the Great Star of Africa, is the largest clear-cut diamond in the world, weighing an impressive 3,106 carats. Discovered in 1905 in the Cullinan Diamond Mine in South Africa, it was named after Sir Thomas Cullinan, the mine's owner. The diamond was later presented to King Edward VII of the United Kingdom as a gift.
After its discovery, Cullinan I was cut from the original diamond and is now part of the Crown Jewels of the United Kingdom. It is set in the head of the Sovereign's Sceptre, symbolizing royal authority and power.
