Crockett Promotions
Crockett Promotions was a professional wrestling promotion founded by Jim Crockett Jr. in the 1930s. It became well-known in the 1980s for its role in the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) and for promoting major wrestling events, including the popular Starrcade series. The promotion was based in the southeastern United States and featured many famous wrestlers.
In 1988, Crockett Promotions was sold to Ted Turner and became part of World Championship Wrestling (WCW). The promotion played a significant role in shaping the wrestling industry during its peak, contributing to the popularity of professional wrestling in the United States.
