Croatian flag
The Croatian flag features three horizontal stripes of red, white, and blue, from top to bottom. These colors are traditional Pan-Slavic colors, symbolizing the Slavic heritage of the nation. In the center of the flag is the coat of arms of Croatia, which consists of a shield with a checkerboard pattern of red and white squares, topped by five smaller shields representing historical regions of Croatia.
The flag was officially adopted on December 21, 1990, following Croatia's declaration of independence from Yugoslavia. The design reflects the country's history and identity, making it a significant national symbol for the Croatian people.
