Croatian Coat of Arms
The Croatian Coat of Arms features a shield divided into 25 red and white squares, arranged in a checkerboard pattern. This design represents the historical regions of Croatia and is a symbol of national identity. Above the shield, there are five smaller shields that represent different regions: Dalmatia, Istria, Slavonia, Zagreb, and the Kingdom of Croatia.
The coat of arms is used by the Government of Croatia and appears on official documents, flags, and buildings. It reflects the rich history and cultural heritage of the nation, serving as a unifying emblem for the Croatian people.
