Cristóbal Rojas
Cristóbal Rojas was a Venezuelan painter born on July 15, 1858, in Caracas. He is known for his contributions to the Venezuelan art scene during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Rojas studied in Europe, where he was influenced by various artistic movements, particularly Impressionism and Symbolism.
His works often depicted social themes and the struggles of the Venezuelan people. One of his most famous paintings is "El entierro de un niño" (The Burial of a Child), which reflects his deep empathy for human suffering. Rojas passed away on December 27, 1924, leaving a significant legacy in Latin American art.
