Corvinian Library
The Corvinian Library was a significant collection of books and manuscripts established in the 15th century by the Hungarian King Matthias Corvinus. Located in Buda, it was one of the largest libraries in Europe at the time, containing thousands of volumes on various subjects, including history, philosophy, and science.
The library was renowned for its beautiful manuscripts, many of which were illustrated and decorated. After the death of Matthias Corvinus in 1490, the collection was dispersed, but it remains an important symbol of the Renaissance in Hungary and the pursuit of knowledge during that era.
