Communist Party of Croatia
The Communist Party of Croatia (KPH) was a political party in Croatia that emerged in the early 20th century. It was founded in 1937 as a branch of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia and played a significant role in the anti-fascist resistance during World War II. After the war, it became the ruling party in Croatia as part of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
In the late 1980s, the KPH faced challenges due to rising nationalism and political changes in Yugoslavia. The party eventually dissolved in 1990, leading to the formation of new political entities in Croatia. Today, its legacy is part of the broader history of socialism and communism in the region.
