Claus von Stauffenberg
Claus von Stauffenberg was a German army officer best known for his role in the failed assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler during World War II. Born on November 15, 1907, he became a key figure in the German Resistance against the Nazi regime. Stauffenberg was motivated by his disillusionment with Hitler's policies and the devastation caused by the war.
On July 20, 1944, Stauffenberg placed a bomb in a briefcase at Hitler's Wolf's Lair headquarters in East Prussia. Although the bomb exploded, Hitler survived, leading to Stauffenberg's arrest and execution later that day. His actions are remembered as a significant act of resistance against tyranny.
