Class G airspace
Class G airspace is a type of uncontrolled airspace that exists from the ground up to Class E airspace or Class A airspace. It is typically found in rural areas and is not subject to air traffic control (ATC) regulations, allowing pilots to operate without a flight plan or ATC clearance.
In Class G airspace, pilots must still follow basic flight rules, such as maintaining visual flight rules (VFR) and avoiding other aircraft. This airspace is often used by general aviation pilots, including small aircraft and recreational flyers, who enjoy the freedom of flying without the constraints of controlled airspace.
