VFR Flight
VFR Flight, or Visual Flight Rules, refers to a set of regulations under which a pilot operates an aircraft in weather conditions generally clear enough to allow for visual navigation. Pilots flying VFR must see where they are going and maintain visual separation from other aircraft and obstacles. This type of flight is common for general aviation and recreational flying.
In VFR conditions, pilots rely on visual references such as landmarks, roads, and terrain to navigate. They must also adhere to specific altitude and distance requirements from clouds to ensure safety. VFR is often contrasted with IFR, or Instrument Flight Rules, which are used in less favorable weather conditions.
