Circassian Language
The Circassian language is a member of the Northwest Caucasian language family, primarily spoken by the Circassian people in the regions of Adygea, Kabardino-Balkaria, and Karachay-Cherkessia in Russia. It has several dialects, with Adyghe and Kabardian being the most prominent. The language is known for its complex consonant system and rich phonetic structure.
Circassian is written using the Cyrillic script in Russia, while some communities use the Latin alphabet. The language is considered endangered due to the declining number of speakers, particularly among younger generations. Efforts are being made to revitalize and preserve the language through education and cultural initiatives.
