Christ candle
The Christ candle is a central symbol in many Christian traditions, particularly during the season of Advent and Christmas. It is typically a large white candle that represents the light of Christ coming into the world. The candle is often lit on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, signifying the birth of Jesus and the hope He brings to humanity.
In Advent wreaths, the Christ candle is usually placed in the center, surrounded by four smaller candles that represent the four weeks of Advent. Each of these candles is often colored purple or pink, symbolizing themes of hope, peace, joy, and love. The lighting of the Christ candle serves as a reminder of the significance of Jesus' birth and His role as the light of the world.
