Cho Oyu
Cho Oyu is the sixth highest mountain in the world, standing at 8,188 meters (26,864 feet) above sea level. Located in the Himalayas on the border between Nepal and Tibet, it is part of the Mahalangur Himal range. The name "Cho Oyu" means "Turquoise Goddess" in Tibetan, reflecting the mountain's stunning blue hue.
First climbed in 1954 by a Swiss expedition, Cho Oyu is considered one of the more accessible 8,000-meter peaks, making it a popular choice for climbers. The mountain is often used as a training ground for those preparing to tackle higher and more challenging summits like Mount Everest.
