Chinese Spirits
Chinese spirits, often referred to as Shen, are supernatural beings in Chinese culture that embody various aspects of nature, ancestors, and deities. They play a significant role in traditional beliefs, influencing daily life, health, and fortune. People often honor these spirits through rituals, offerings, and festivals to seek blessings and protection.
In Chinese folklore, spirits can be benevolent or malevolent. Guǐ, or ghosts, are believed to be the souls of the deceased who may linger due to unresolved issues. Conversely, Tudi Gong, the Earth God, is a protective spirit associated with land and agriculture, ensuring prosperity and harmony in communities.
