Chinese Protestant Church
The Chinese Protestant Church refers to various Christian congregations in China that follow Protestant beliefs and practices. These churches emerged in the 19th century, influenced by Western missionaries. They emphasize the authority of the Bible, personal faith, and the importance of community worship.
Today, the Chinese Protestant Church includes both registered and unregistered congregations. Registered churches operate under the Three-Self Patriotic Movement, while unregistered ones, often called "house churches," meet privately. Despite government restrictions, Protestantism has grown significantly in China, attracting millions of followers across diverse regions and cultures.
