Chilopsis Linearis
Chilopsis linearis, commonly known as the desert willow, is a deciduous tree native to the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. It typically grows between 15 to 30 feet tall and features long, narrow leaves that resemble those of willows. The tree is well-adapted to arid environments, thriving in sandy or rocky soils.
The desert willow produces beautiful, trumpet-shaped flowers that bloom in shades of pink, purple, or white during the summer months. These flowers attract various pollinators, including bees and hummingbirds. Chilopsis linearis is often used in landscaping for its ornamental value and ability to withstand drought conditions.
