Childebert III
Childebert III was a king of the Franks who ruled from 695 to 711 AD. He was a member of the Merovingian dynasty and became king at a young age, following the death of his father, Childebert II. His reign was marked by the influence of powerful nobles and the growing authority of the Mayor of the Palace.
During Childebert III's rule, the Frankish kingdom faced internal conflicts and external threats. His reign saw the continued decline of the Merovingian kings, as the real power shifted to the mayors, particularly Charles Martel, who would later become a significant figure in Frankish history.
