Cherríe Moraga
Cherríe Moraga is a prominent American playwright, poet, and essayist known for her contributions to Chicana literature and feminist thought. Born on September 24, 1952, in Whittier, California, she is a co-editor of the influential anthology This Bridge Called My Back, which highlights the voices of women of color. Moraga's work often explores themes of identity, culture, and social justice.
In addition to her writing, Moraga is a founding member of the La Red Chicana, a group dedicated to supporting Chicana artists.
