Charles of Valois
Charles of Valois was a French nobleman born in 1270, the son of Philip III of France. He played a significant role in the politics of medieval France and was a member of the House of Valois. Charles was known for his ambitions, including his claim to the throne of Naples.
In 1290, he was made the Duke of Valois and later became involved in various military campaigns. His efforts to expand his influence included participation in the Hundred Years' War. Charles of Valois died in 1325, leaving a legacy that influenced the future of the French monarchy.
