Charles I of France
Charles I of France, also known as Charles the Bald, was a king who ruled from 843 to 877. He was a grandson of Charlemagne and became the first king of the western part of the Holy Roman Empire after the Treaty of Verdun. His reign was marked by struggles against Viking invasions and internal conflicts among the Frankish nobility.
Charles I was known for his efforts to promote education and culture, establishing schools and supporting the arts. He also played a significant role in the development of the Feudal System in France, which shaped the political landscape of medieval Europe.
