Charles Grey
Charles Grey, 2nd Earl Grey, was a British statesman born on March 13, 1764. He is best known for serving as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1830 to 1834. Grey played a significant role in the passage of the Reform Act of 1832, which aimed to address electoral inequalities and expand voting rights.
In addition to his political achievements, Grey is also associated with the popular tea blend known as Earl Grey tea. This distinctive tea, flavored with bergamot oil, was reportedly created for him in the 1830s. Charles Grey passed away on July 17, 1845.
