Central African Republic Civil War
The Central African Republic Civil War began in 2012 when a coalition of rebel groups known as Seleka overthrew the government. This conflict arose from long-standing issues such as poverty, political instability, and ethnic tensions. The violence led to widespread human rights abuses and a humanitarian crisis, displacing thousands of people.
In response to the chaos, various international organizations and countries intervened, including the African Union and United Nations. Despite efforts to restore peace, the situation remains fragile, with ongoing clashes between rival factions, including the Anti-Balaka militia, and challenges in establishing a stable government.
