Cassini's moons
The Cassini spacecraft studied the planet Saturn and its many moons from 2004 to 2017. Among its discoveries were several intriguing moons, including Titan, the largest, which has a thick atmosphere and lakes of liquid methane. Another notable moon is Enceladus, known for its icy geysers that spew water vapor and organic compounds into space.
Other moons, like Mimas and Tethys, have unique features such as large craters and bright ice surfaces. Dione and Rhea are also significant, showcasing a mix of icy terrain and possible signs of past geological activity. Together, these moons provide valuable insights into the dynamics of the Saturnian system.
