The Cassini-Huygens mission was a collaborative project between NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA), and the Italian Space Agency. Launched in 1997, it aimed to study Saturn, its rings, and its moons. The spacecraft consisted of two parts: the Cassini orbiter, which studied Saturn from orbit, and the Huygens probe, designed to land on Titan, Saturn's largest moon.
In January 2005, the Huygens probe successfully landed on Titan, providing valuable data about its atmosphere and surface. The Cassini orbiter continued to send back stunning images and scientific information until its mission ended in 2017, greatly enhancing our understanding of the Saturnian system.
