Cassini spacecraft
The Cassini spacecraft was a NASA mission launched in 1997 to study the planet Saturn and its moons. It entered orbit around Saturn in 2004 and provided valuable data about the planet's atmosphere, rings, and numerous moons, including Titan, which has a thick atmosphere and liquid lakes.
During its mission, Cassini made several groundbreaking discoveries, such as the presence of water-ice geysers on Enceladus, another of Saturn's moons. The spacecraft sent back thousands of images and scientific measurements until its mission concluded in 2017, when it was deliberately plunged into Saturn to avoid contaminating its moons.
