Carpathian Rusyns
The Carpathian Rusyns are an ethnic group primarily found in the Carpathian Mountains region of Central and Eastern Europe, particularly in parts of Ukraine, Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary. They speak the Rusyn language, which is closely related to Ukrainian and Slovak. The Rusyns have a rich cultural heritage, including unique traditions, music, and folk art.
Historically, the Carpathian Rusyns have faced challenges regarding their identity and recognition. They are often considered a minority group, and their status varies by country. Despite this, they maintain a strong sense of community and continue to celebrate their distinct cultural practices and traditions.
