Caroline of Nassau-Usingen
Caroline of Nassau-Usingen was born on December 1, 1743, in Nassau-Usingen, a small principality in present-day Germany. She was a member of the House of Nassau and the daughter of Prince Wilhelm of Nassau-Usingen. Caroline is best known for her marriage to Duke Charles of Mecklenburg-Strelitz in 1762, which strengthened ties between their noble families.
