Cargo Spacecraft
Cargo spacecraft are specialized vehicles designed to transport goods and supplies to space. They play a crucial role in supporting missions to the International Space Station (ISS) and other space endeavors. These spacecraft can carry a variety of items, including scientific equipment, food, and spare parts.
Many cargo spacecraft are developed by private companies, such as SpaceX with its Dragon spacecraft, and Northrop Grumman with its Cygnus vehicle. They are launched into orbit using powerful rockets and can either dock with the ISS or be left in orbit for later retrieval.
