Northrop Grumman Cygnus
Northrop Grumman Cygnus is an automated cargo spacecraft designed to deliver supplies to the International Space Station (ISS). It is part of NASA's Commercial Resupply Services program and can carry up to 3,700 kilograms of cargo, including scientific experiments, equipment, and food for astronauts.
The Cygnus spacecraft is launched aboard an Antares rocket from the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport in Virginia. Once in orbit, it autonomously approaches the ISS, where it is captured by the station's robotic arm. After completing its mission, Cygnus can be used to dispose of waste by burning up upon re-entry into Earth's atmosphere.
