Captain Blackbeard
Captain Blackbeard, whose real name was Edward Teach, was a notorious English pirate active during the early 18th century, often referred to as the "Golden Age of Piracy." He is best known for his fearsome appearance, characterized by his long black beard and the use of slow-burning fuses in his beard during battles to create a terrifying image. Blackbeard operated mainly in the Caribbean Sea and along the American colonies.
Blackbeard's most famous ship was the Queen Anne's Revenge, which he captured in 1716. He was known for his aggressive tactics and his ability to intimidate both enemies and allies. His piracy career was relatively short-lived, ending with his death in a fierce battle off the coast of North Carolina in 1718.
