Capillary hemorrhage
Capillary hemorrhage refers to the bleeding that occurs from the smallest blood vessels in the body, known as capillaries. This type of bleeding is often characterized by small, pinpoint spots of blood on the skin or mucous membranes, which can appear as red or purple marks. It usually results from minor injuries, such as cuts or bruises, and is generally not severe.
This type of hemorrhage is typically self-limiting and resolves without medical intervention. However, if it occurs frequently or is accompanied by other symptoms, it may indicate underlying health issues, such as thrombocytopenia or vascular disorders.
