Canard Configuration
The canard configuration is an aircraft design where small wings, called canards, are placed near the front of the fuselage. These canards help improve stability and control by generating lift and reducing the risk of stalling. This design is often seen in modern fighter jets and some experimental aircraft.
In a canard configuration, the main wings are located further back on the aircraft. This arrangement allows for better aerodynamic efficiency and can enhance maneuverability. Notable examples of this design include the Dassault Mirage 2000 and the Boeing X-32, which showcase the advantages of using canards in flight.
