Boeing X-32
The Boeing X-32 is a prototype aircraft developed for the United States military's Joint Strike Fighter program. Designed in the late 1990s, it aimed to demonstrate advanced technologies for a versatile fighter jet capable of vertical takeoff and landing. The X-32 competed against the Lockheed Martin X-35 for the contract.
The X-32 features a unique design with a large fuselage and a single engine mounted above the wing. Its innovative features included a thrust vectoring system for improved maneuverability. Although it did not win the competition, the X-32 contributed valuable insights to future fighter jet designs.
