Canadian Securities Administrators
The Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) is an umbrella organization of Canada’s provincial and territorial securities regulators. Its primary role is to improve, coordinate, and harmonize the regulation of the securities industry across Canada. The CSA aims to protect investors from unfair, improper, or fraudulent practices while promoting fair and efficient capital markets.
The CSA works collaboratively with its members to develop policies and regulations that govern the securities industry. This includes overseeing the registration of securities firms and professionals, enforcing compliance with securities laws, and facilitating the distribution of information to investors.
