Cam Impingement
Cam Impingement is a condition that affects the hip joint, where the femoral head (the ball part of the hip joint) is not perfectly round. This irregular shape can lead to abnormal contact between the femoral head and the acetabulum (the socket part of the hip joint) during movement. As a result, it can cause pain and limit the range of motion in the hip.
This condition is often associated with hip labral tears and can occur in active individuals, particularly athletes. Symptoms may include hip pain, stiffness, and a clicking sensation. Early diagnosis and treatment are essential to prevent further joint damage.
