California State Flag
The California State Flag, also known as the Bear Flag, features a design that includes a grizzly bear, a red star, and a red stripe at the bottom. The bear represents strength and unyielding resistance, while the star is a nod to the California Lone Star Flag of 1836. The flag was first raised in 1846 by American settlers in revolt against Mexican rule in what is known as the Bear Flag Revolt.
Adopted as the state flag in 1911, the California State Flag symbolizes the state's rich history and its spirit of independence. The bear is shown walking on a patch of green grass, emphasizing California's natural beauty. The flag's design is simple yet powerful, making it a recognizable emblem of the state.
