Cafe-au-Lait Spots
Cafe-au-Lait spots are light brown skin markings that can appear anywhere on the body. They are usually oval-shaped and vary in size, often becoming more noticeable with age. These spots are generally harmless and do not require treatment unless they change in appearance.
These spots are commonly associated with certain genetic conditions, such as neurofibromatosis and McCune-Albright syndrome. While most people have a few cafe-au-lait spots, having six or more, especially if they are larger than 5 millimeters, may warrant a medical evaluation to rule out underlying health issues.
