Caecilian
Caecilians are a group of limbless, burrowing amphibians belonging to the order Gymnophiona. They are primarily found in tropical regions of Africa, Asia, and South America. Caecilians have elongated, cylindrical bodies and can vary in size, with some species reaching over a meter in length. They are adapted for a subterranean lifestyle, often living in soil or leaf litter.
These amphibians have smooth, moist skin and are usually dark in color, which helps them blend into their environment. Caecilians are known for their unique reproductive methods, with some species laying eggs while others give birth to live young. They primarily feed on small invertebrates, using their keen sense of smell to locate prey.
