Caber Tossing
Caber Tossing is a traditional Scottish athletic event that involves throwing a tall, heavy log called a caber. The objective is to flip the caber end over end so that it lands in a straight line from where it was thrown. Competitors must lift the caber upright and run with it before launching it into the air.
The event is often featured at Highland Games, which celebrate Scottish culture and heritage. A successful toss is judged based on the caber's position upon landing, with the ideal result being a perfect 12 o'clock position, where the small end points directly away from the thrower.
