CNT-FAI
CNT-FAI, or the Confederación Nacional del Trabajo - Federación Anarquista Ibérica, is a Spanish labor union founded in 1910. It promotes anarcho-syndicalism, advocating for workers' rights and direct action. The organization emphasizes self-management and solidarity among workers, aiming to create a society free from capitalism and state control.
During the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939), CNT-FAI played a significant role in organizing labor and managing industries. The union sought to implement its ideals through collectivization and workers' councils. Although it faced repression after the war, CNT-FAI remains influential in contemporary labor movements and anarchist circles in Spain.
