CGA Canada, or the Certified General Accountants Association of Canada, was a professional organization that represented certified general accountants across the country. Established to promote high standards in accounting, it provided education, resources, and support to its members, helping them advance their careers in the accounting field. In 2014, CGA Canada merged with the Chartered Accountants of Canada and the Certified Management Accountants of Canada to form the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada). This merger aimed to unify the accounting profession in Canada, enhancing the quality of services provided by accountants and ensuring a consistent standard across the industry.
