Buyids
The Buyids were a Persian dynasty that ruled parts of Iran and Iraq during the 10th and 11th centuries. They emerged after the decline of the Abbasid Caliphate and are known for their significant influence on the political and cultural landscape of the region. The Buyids established a form of governance that combined military power with administrative control, allowing them to dominate major cities like Baghdad.
The Buyid rulers were also patrons of art and literature, contributing to the cultural revival of the time. They promoted the use of the Persian language and supported various scholars and poets, which helped to enrich the cultural heritage of the Islamic Golden Age.
