Bustards
Bustards are large, ground-dwelling birds found mainly in open grasslands and savannas across Europe, Asia, and Africa. They belong to the family Otididae and are known for their impressive size, with some species, like the Great Bustard, being among the heaviest flying birds. Bustards have long legs and necks, which help them navigate their habitats, and they are often characterized by their striking plumage.
These birds are primarily herbivorous, feeding on grasses, seeds, and insects. Bustards are known for their elaborate courtship displays, where males perform dances and vocalizations to attract females. Many species are considered vulnerable or endangered due to habitat loss and hunting pressures.
