Bustard
The bustard is a large, ground-dwelling bird belonging to the family Otididae. These birds are known for their long legs and heavy bodies, which make them well-adapted to open grasslands and savannas. Bustards are primarily found in Europe, Asia, and Africa, with some species also inhabiting parts of Australia. They are omnivorous, feeding on a diet that includes seeds, insects, and small animals.
Bustards are notable for their impressive courtship displays, especially during mating season. Males often perform elaborate dances and vocalizations to attract females. Some species, like the Great Bustard, are among the heaviest flying birds in the world, showcasing their unique adaptations for life on the ground.
