Buland Darwaza
Buland Darwaza is a grand gateway located in Fatehpur Sikri, India. Built in 1571 by the Mughal Emperor Akbar, it stands at a height of 40 meters and is made of red sandstone adorned with intricate carvings and inscriptions. The structure commemorates Akbar's victory over Gujarat and serves as the entrance to the Jama Masjid.
The design of Buland Darwaza reflects the architectural brilliance of the Mughal era, showcasing a blend of Islamic and Hindu styles. It features a large archway flanked by smaller arches and is embellished with beautiful calligraphy. This monument is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and attracts many visitors each year.
