Buffaloes
Buffaloes are large, herbivorous mammals belonging to the Bovidae family. They are known for their massive bodies, strong legs, and distinctive curved horns. There are two main species: the American bison, often referred to as buffalo, and the water buffalo, which is commonly found in Asia. Buffaloes typically inhabit grasslands, savannas, and wetlands, where they graze on grasses and other vegetation.
These animals play a crucial role in their ecosystems by helping to maintain grassland health through grazing. Buffaloes are also important to many cultures, providing meat, hides, and labor. Their social structure often includes herds led by dominant females, promoting cooperation and protection among members.
