Buddhism and Hinduism
Buddhism and Hinduism are two major religions that originated in India. Hinduism is one of the oldest religions in the world, characterized by a belief in a supreme being, multiple deities, and concepts like karma and reincarnation. It emphasizes rituals, traditions, and a variety of spiritual practices.
Buddhism, founded by Siddhartha Gautama (the Buddha) in the 5th century BCE, focuses on the path to enlightenment through understanding the nature of suffering. It teaches the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path as a guide to achieving nirvana, a state of liberation from the cycle of birth and rebirth.
