Antarctic Skua
The Antarctic Skua is a large seabird found primarily in the Antarctic region. It has a robust body, long wings, and a distinctive brown plumage with lighter underparts. These birds are known for their aggressive behavior, especially during the breeding season, as they defend their nests from potential threats.
Antarctic Skuas primarily feed on fish, krill, and other seabirds' eggs and chicks. They are skilled hunters and often scavenge from other birds. Their breeding season occurs during the summer months, where they build nests on the ground and raise their young in colonies.
